Situated on 8.2 acres, the James Center is a mixed-use complex in downtown Richmond, Virginia. Developed by CSX Corporation and Faison Associates, it features three office buildings, retail space and an Omni Hotel. One James Center, completed in 1985, is 21 stories and 420,000 square feet. The Wachovia Building, the second in the complex with 334,000 square feet and 22 stories, opened in 1987. Opening later in 1987, Three James Center is 14 stories and 233,000 square feet.
While the ownership of the project remains the same and James Center has been managed and leased by the same team since it opened, Trammell Crow Company bought Faison's property management business in 1998. Trammell Crow Company was one of the nation's largest real estate services companies and brought expanded resources to the management and leasing of James Center. In December 2005 James Center was sold to JEMB Realty Corp. in New York. The project's entity was renamed James Center Property LLC.
The goal of the James Center Marketing Department is to provide a stimulating, exciting environment for the tenants. We welcome comments and suggestions. Please phone us at (804) 344-7278 or email us at thejamescenter.com.
